I am faling to connect to gmail. stunnel and hosts.allow

Hi, This may be a little bit off-topic, but does anyone here use stunnel with pan? My connections to stunnel (in pan) are always refused by libwrap. I was looking for the right rule to add to /etc/hosts.allow but nothing seems to work aside from "ALL : ALL" (which is obviously not good) and "nntps: KNOWN". Is the latter reasonable? The hosts_access(5) manpage is confusing to say the least. It mentions that daemon (the first token on any line) is the name of the daemon running the process, which would be "stunnel" in my case, but using "stunnel : LOCAL" or even "stunnel : ALL" doesn't work. The rule that seems to work, as mentioned, is "nntps : KNOWN" ("nntps" being the group name in stunnel.conf). What's even more confusing to me is that "nntps : LOCAL" does not work either. Nor does "nntps : localhost 127.0.0.1", "nntps : localhost", "nntps : 127.0.0.1", or "nntps : 192.168.1.". Pan is running on the same machine as stunnel so all connections must be coming from localhost. Why do these rules not trigger? Either way, I'd like to know the "least permissive" hosts.allow rule that would allow me to connect to my news provider from pan, and/or whether "nntps : KNOWN" is a safe option. Thanks, Yousef

startup issues

Hi, Well I got it started on VMS and wanted to put it in debug mode, so I shut it down made my changes to the conf file and now well I can't start it with the command procedure. YMMV 12-restore-pidfile-default.patch I strongly disagree with this approach, as it breaks configuration file compatibility with the upstream. Redis with stunnel, need to reset a client connection if the remote server drops

Hello all, I've spent some time digging through the archives, but have yet to turn up a solution to the issue I'm having. We're using Redis instances on 'cloud' resources, and have successfully gotten stunnel setup as a server on these nodes. Additionally an internal process runs and connects to a local stunnel client that then connects to the remote cloud instance. This is working well enough at the moment, however there is one issue I'm bumping into. If the remote EC2 node goes dark for a bit (ie: reboot), the local stunnel client will reconnect, however the internal process which is establishing its connection to the local stunnel client does not get disconnected and therefore doesn't know that redis became unavailable and needs to re-subscribe to the redis stream. I need to invalidate the established session when the remote reconnects. Can this be accomplished with either a TIMEOUT value or session statement? Rewriting HTTP host header

Hi. After disabling SSLv3 I've got the same problem as: https://www.stunnel.org/pipermail/stunnel-users/2014-October/004814.html Sadly, he never got an answer. So I ask again, is it possible that stunnel could set the HTTP Host header to match the "connect = " setting? This way, Apache would accept that request instead of returning BAD REQUEST with AH02032. Hello I'm trying to setup stunnel 4.20 yes it is an old version but the only one on HP's website for VMS. I need a little help in the conf files. Since I will be using telnet, do I need to put in each machines ip address that will be connecting? So in the example below do I create a listing of connects?
