[stunnel-users] stunnel become non-non responsive and very sluggish

It might be out of scope, but it seems you have other issues to fix first.

setuid ans setgid in stunnel.conf file.

sudo: unable to resolve host stunnel2: Connection timed out

host stunnel2 is incorrectly set in /etc/hostname or not defined in
/etc/hosts

After that, you can post your config if the problem persists.
