Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not you can use stunnel on a client machine to connect to and communcate with an SSL enabled port on a server machine.  (Note...the SSL enabled port on the server machine is NOT done using stunnel).

I am fairly new to using stunnel and I have had no problems setting up an SSL connection between a client and server using stunnel on both machines.  I guess what I'm wondering is if there is anything stunnel does that would not be compatible with a SSL port implemented using C++ on the server side.

Is there any special handshaking that takes place when both the client and server use stunnel?

Thanks!
