Well, as the logging says, stunnel seems unable to connect to the remote
service.  This setup works, I'm using it as well.

So you have to discover why the remote service is not to be reached.  And
as a startingpoint: it is highly unlikely an SSL supporting proxy is
running on port 80, they usually reside on port 443.
